What makes a case worth filming

The same three traits run through every file in the archive. Use them to judge any case you bring yourself.

  1. Exhibit A

A question that will not close

Disappearances, unexplained deaths and unsolved murders end on a question, so viewers stay for the last frame and argue about it in the comments.

  2. Exhibit B

    A name people already know

A case viewers have heard of earns the first second. Lead with the name, then the one detail they have not heard yet.

  3. Exhibit C

One detail, not the whole file

Every file here narrows the case to a single angle. A reel that tries to cover everything ends up saying nothing.
